The Sinai Rosefinch is considered the national bird of Jordan. It is located in the area between southern Jordan and northern Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

It is a small, non-striped bird with a single pink color and a short beak. It can fly long distances to obtain water and feed on seeds, buds and shrub leaves.

 In Jordan is found in Petra, Wadi Araba and Wadi Rum desert where it prefers warm dry weather in places without trees but there are rocky or sandy mountains. 

يتواجد هذا الطائر في منطقة ما بين جنوب الأردن وشمال السعودية ومصر وفي الأردن يتواجد في البترا الصغيرة, وادي عربة وصحراء وادي رم حيث أنه يفضل الجو الحار الجاف في أماكن لا أشجار فيها ولكن هناك جبال صخرية أو رملية. ويعتبر الطير الوطني للأردن. 

طائر صغير الحجم وغير مخطط ذا لون واحد وردي ومنقار قصير، ويستطيع الطيران مسافات طويلة من أجل الحصول على الماء ويتغذى على البذور والبراعم وأوراق الشجيرات.‏
